The price of gas in Utah has fallen 4 cents from the start of 2014, according to a report from AAA.
Last year saw an increase of 37 cents at Utah pumps over the same period, an increase more in line with conventional gas trends. But with cold weather limiting driving and fewer production concerns overseas, 2014 has seen national rates remain flat.
Today's Utah gallon, at $3.09, is 16 cents cheaper than a year ago and 22 cents cheaper than the national average. Utah has the fourth-cheapest gas in the country, and the second-cheapest in the Mountain West region (after Montana).
The steepest decline since the start of the year came in Ogden, which has Utah's cheapest gas at $3.02. At $3.27, Moab is the priciest place to fuel up.
