The opinions stated by Gayle Ruzicka concerning preschool education have no basis in fact ("Trib Talk: The debate over preschool in Utah," Tribune, Feb. 10). In the first place, 3-year-olds are not babies, and children in preschool are not subjected to a long list of academics.
They are taught by experienced early childhood specialists who plan experiences that include cooperation, fun and sharing.
She should really spend some time with them before she makes a judgment that can influence those making the important decisions.
