Fort Collins • On Tuesday night the Aggies broke through a barrier that's been quite problematic so far this season.

Utah State wasn't able to get it done on the road against Air Force, Nevada, Boise State, UNLV or Wyoming, but the Aggies finally got a Mountain West road win taking on Colorado State at Moby Arena.

The 71-62 victory represented a big achievement for the program, which has struggled to get out to good starts on the road. It was the first time Utah State led at halftime in an away game in its new league. Senior guard Spencer Butterfield said that the Aggies worked to bring the energy early against the Rams.

"I just think we were more energized," he said. "We tried to get more energy going in the shootaround today. Just have more positive attitude, not so down. If we can keep that energy on the road like we do at home, we'll be able to compete in this league."

Butterfield talks about that and more in this postgame video above. Check it out.
