Founder of Utah's Bodell Construction dies

James Bodell, the founder of Bodell Construction, has died at the age of 90.

Bodell, who founded the company in 1972, died on Feb. 13 at his daughter's home in Sandy.

The company has constructed more than $1 billion of industrial and commercial projects throughout the West and in Hawaii, including the Salt Palace Convention Center, a renovation of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and several projects at the University of Utah, Utah State University and Brigham Young Utah Hawaii.

Services will be held on Saturday, Feb., 15, 2014 with visitation from 10 to 11:45 a.m. and funeral service beginning at noon at the Parleys Stake Center, 1870 Parleys Canyon Boulevard. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
