Torah Bright, the Australian snowboarding star who lives in Salt Lake City, completed an Olympic odyssey that covered three events over 11 days when she made the quarterfinals of the snowboardcross event. Bright won a silver medal Wednesday in her specialty, the halfpipe event. That came between her runs in the slopestyle and snowboardcross events on a nearby course in the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park."It was an interesting challenge I gave myself, and I did it," Bright said Sunday. "And everybody laughed at me, and I said, 'It's just snowboarding.' "Bright fell during her quarterfinal run and was relieved she didn't bump an Australian teammate, who advanced. She was not disappointed at all to leave Russia with only one mdeal, noting that even a great halfpipe run carried no guarantee of a medal.
