The University of Washington women's basketball team defeated Utah 67-66 on Sunday in a Pac-12 game at the Huntsman Center, handing the Utes their fifth straight loss and spoiling a milestone game for Utah's Michelle Plouffe.

Plouffe, a senior forward, scored 31 points — her second straight game with 30 or more — and pulled down 14 rebounds, moving into a tie with Anne Handy (1981-85) for the school's career rebounding record (1,106).

Utah's Ciera Dunbar connected on 3 of 4 3-point attempts, including one with 2 seconds remaining in the game that cut the Utes' deficit to one point.

"Our kids competed and battled but once again, there was another facet of the game that we struggled with," Utah coach Anthony Levrets said. "We put [Washington] on the free-throw line 24 times and that proved to be the difference in the game. We have to figure out a way to win one of these games."

Washington went 19-for-24 from the line, while Utah (10-15, 3-11) was 3-for-5.

Kelsey Plum scored a game-high 19 points for Washington (15-10, 8-6).
