Here's what's being talked about today in pop culture:

• Jimmy Fallon's first night hosting "The Tonight Show" went well, with an all-star sketch that brought out Robert De Niro, Rudy Giuliani, Tina Fey, Seth Rogen and rival Stephen Colbert — and Joan Rivers, ending a 27-year exile from "Tonight" that goes back to her acrimonious split from Johnny Carson. • Members of the Russian punk collective Pussy Riot were detained in Sochi, site of the 2014 Winter Olympics, and later released. [BBC]
