A West Valley City man is accused of stabbing another man three times in the chest and illegally having sex with a teenage baby sitter.

In charges filed Wednesday, police alleged the defendant, 22, had threatened the stabbing victim on Feb. 12; when the two confronted each other the next day, the victim assumed a "fighting stance" and the defendant stabbed him three times in the left side of his chest, below the armpit, police wrote. The victim was hospitalized.

On further investigation, officers spoke with a teenage girl who baby-sat the man's children. She said he asked her to be his girlfriend, and they began having sex when she was 16. The man admitted they sent each other explicit photos.

The man is charged with second-degree aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury, second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor, and third-degree felony counts of unlawful conduct with a 16- or 17-year-old as well as dealing in harmful material to a minor.
