Security breach in Apple devices. Patch it ..

They always talk about how Macs and iPhones never have malware or viruses and that they're machines are as secure as Fort Knox.

Not so. This last week it was revealed that a very serious security breach in iOS and OSX, the operating systems that run both iDevices and Macs, was lurking in the code.

The nefarious breach affects SSL/TLS, or Secure Socket Layer and Transport Layer Security, which verifies that the secure website you're browsing or shopping at is in fact secure. But it may not be and could be a doorway into a hacker.

Fortunately, a patch has been relased for both iOS and OSX Mavericks that will plug the hole. I suggest you update your operating systems right now if you have an iPhone, iPad, iMac, MacBook Pro or any other Apple computer.

You can update your iDevice by going into "Settings," then touch "General" and then "Software Update." You should see a prompt to update to version 7.0.6 if you haven't already. You can do this wirelessly without directly connecting it to iTunes. Just make sure you're at a secure Wi Fi connection, like your home network.

For Macs running the new Mavericks OS, just click on the App Store icon and then "Updates" where it will search for all available updates on your computer. Then just follow the prompts. Of course, you're computer has to be connected to the Internet to get the update.

So update those operating systems and feel secure again.
