We're assured by the producers writers and cast that we're just getting to the good parts of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (7 p.m., ABC/Ch. 4). The jury remains out on that one, although the most recent original episode — which aired way back on Feb. 14 — was, arguably, the best we've seen from this series.

It wasn't great, but it was good.

In tonight's episode, Bill Paxton makes the first of several appearances as Agent John Garrett. Comic book fans will recognize the character; the rest of you will recognize Paxton.
