Letter: Just because 97% agree doesn't mean it's right

Steve Glaser misses the mark by 97 percent ("Lawmakers should listen to climate experts," Forum, March 5).

Ninety-seven percent of the world thought it was flat.

Ninety-seven percent thought Pluto was a planet.

Having a website regardless of who sponsors it does not mean that we shouldn't question the content. Glaser wrote in his letter that he doesn't "expect Congress to solve a global problem" but he has a plan for taxing coal on a global scale.

Why not have Congress solve problems they do have control over, and let's start with the several Utah counties that don't require emission testing for vehicles. Then let's move on to the vehicles registered to an out-of-state address to avoid the taxes the rest of us are paying.
