Verizon ranked highest in performance

Verizon Wireless, the country's largest cell phone carrier, was rated the highest in overall performance in all six regions in the United States, including in Utah.

The semi-annual J.D. Power and Associates study released this week revealed that Verizon had the highest overall performance in three key areas: calling, messaging and data.

In the western region, which includes Utah, Verizon was ranked hightest, followed by AT&T, T-Mobile and then Sprint.

Earlier this week, Verizon also was ranked the highest in overall performance by Seattle-based mobile analytics firm, RootMetrics.
