Police looking for man who robbed Midvale bank

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in Midvale on Friday morning.

At about 9:17 a.m. Friday, the suspect entered the bank, located at 955 E. Fort Union Blvd., and presented a note that demanded money, according to a release from the Unified Police Department.

The teller complied with the suspect's demands and no one was injured. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, UPD said.

It is unknown if the suspect got into a vehicle. He did not display any weapons during the robbery, UPD said.

He is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s, 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds with a shaved head and a tattoo near his right eye. He was wearing a white shirt and a blue hoodie.

UPD officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect, who is considered dangerous.

Police are releasing the suspect's photo in hopes that members of the public will know who he is, or that someone saw him as he was fleeing the area.
