The Salt Lake Tribune has an event planned March 13 at the Salt Lake City Main Library that you won't want to miss.

Photographer Chris Detrick, who spent most of February in Russia following 65 athletes with Utah ties as they competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics, will present a slide show of his favorite photos and explain how he shot them.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m., is free and open to the public in the auditorium at the library, 450 S. 200 East.

Before the presentation, you might want to check out Detrick's Olympics photo blog, which each day during the Games featured his favorite photo along with an explanation of how he shot it.
