A hoodie-clad duo armed with pepper spray left staff and customers of a Salt Lake City store with burning eyes and coughing for air in the wake of a robbery.

Now, Salt Lake City police have released security camera images from the Saturday holdup at the Family Dollar Store at 857 N. Redwood Road in hopes someone will recognize the bandits.

The men, both wearing ski masks, entered the store just before 10 p.m. Saturday. One suspect wore a dark hooded sweat jacket and matching sweat pants, while the second suspect wore a gray hooded sweat jacket and fleece pants.

Once inside, the pair corralled two employees and two customers, forced the employees to empty the cash register and then sprayed the group with pepper spray before fleeing on foot.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call 801-799-3000. Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637 via TIPSLCPD.
