Police say that for the second time in three weeks, a Salt Lake City Subway sandwich shop has been robbed by a pair of masked, hoodie-wearing suspects.

The latest holdup occurred just before 3 p.m. Monday at the chain's store at 3636 W. 2100 South. Two Polynesian males about 30 and 30 years old and 6 feet tall, threatened employees and demanded and received cash.

The suspects — both wearing gloves, one of medium build clad in blue jeans, black jacket and a black mask; the other of heavy build, wearing black pants and a gray mask — then fled north on foot.

A Subway at 2875 S. Highland Drive also was robbed March 4 by a pair of suspects wearing masks and hoodies, but police are not saying the robberies are connected.

SLCPD asks anyone with information on these suspects call 801-799-3000. People can also submit anonymous tips by texting TIPSLCPD and the relevant information to 274637.
