Cafe Rio to open new restaurant in West Valley City

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill, which has proved to be one of Utah's most popular franchises, will open its 25th restaurant in Utah next Wednesday at 3567 S. 2700 West in West Valley City.

"We're excited to be opening our 25th Utah location in West Valley City, a testament to our loyal fans and their continued input on where they'd like to see us grow," said Ben Craner, chief marketing officer for the company. "West Valley is just the tip of the iceberg for what we have out on the horizon. It's going to be an exciting year for Cafe Rio."

In a news release, the company said the opening of the West Valley location coupled with the renovation of the Provo location, which opens Monday, marks a new era of a multi-year, multi-million dollar investments with new store openings and renovating existing locations in Utah.

The company, which features fresh ingredients and does not utilize freezers or microwaves, has 70 locations nationally in 11 states. It has won more than 60 national awards for its food.
