The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be bringing its national convention and 6,000 guests to the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City Sept. 21 through Sept. 23.

The group said it brings its convention to destinations renowned for their economic prowess, pro-business environment and embrace of cultural diversity.

"The USHCC is proud to take its 2014 National Convention to Salt Lake City," USHCC President and CEO Javier Palomarez told the Globe Newswire. "Our association represents the interests of America's 3.2 million Hispanic-owned businesses, which together contribute more than $468 billion to our nation's economy each year."

He said that Utah represents America's business future as well as a growing Hispanic business community.

According to Don Salazar, CEO of Utah-based CTI construction, the Beehive State is home to more than 10,000 Hispanic-owned businesses, that contribute over $1.3 billion to the state's economy.
