It is sad that LDS men are now questioning their relevance ("Relevance of LDS Men," Forum, March 19) when it comes to their priesthood. Joseph Smith taught equality of men, women and their priesthood in his LDS Temple endowment ceremony. He hid one of the most profound teachings of equality for the church in front of everyone's eyes, but few there are that can see it, proving many are called, but few are chosen to understand. Google the LDS temple ceremony and one can find the whole thing online.
Being respectful that it is sacred, not secret, it is now time that the LDS Church to look at their own teachings on equality and admit to being prideful when it comes to putting the importance of one being above another (men vs. women or general authority over new convert) and gain some modern revelation, not from God, but from the supposed founder of their religion.
Remember this during LDS Conference that is coming soon.
