We spend plenty of time complaining about our workplaces, describing in detail all the negatives.

But in reality, most of us acknowledge our workplaces do a lot of things right, too.

Many companies, in fact, stand out as great places to work, and The Salt Lake Tribune wants to know which workplaces those are.

In partnership with the survey firm Workplace Dynamics, we're searching for Utah companies that consistently do right by their employees.

Does the company you work for deserve recognition as a Top Work Place 2014?

Nominating your employer is easy. You need only spend five minutes completing a 22-statement survey available online or by calling 801-803-6841.

The competition is open to any organization with 35 or more employees in Salt Lake, Utah, Tooele, Summit, Davis or Weber counties.

Nominations are due April 18.

Workplace Dynamics will ask nominated companies to complete a short survey, and winners will be notified in the fall.

The Tribune will feature the top workplaces in profiles at sltrib.com and in the newspaper's print edition. They also will be honored at a special event planned for October.

We have a number of nominees already, and anticipate participation by up to 100 companies.
