Utah massage parlor owner, employee arrested for sex solicitation

Two women working at an Orem massage parlor have been arrested for allegedly offering to perform sex acts on clients at an Orem massage parlor.

The 55-year-old owner and a 46-year-old employee were arrested Monday and booked into the Utah County jail on suspicion of sexual solicitation and unlawful conduct/massage practice.

The police investigation began in late January, when a friend of an Orem detective went to Spring Spa, 386 E. 720 South, for a massage, according to a press release.

While getting the massage, the masseuse touched his genitals and asked, "Do you want this?" The man declined, left the business and reported the episode to the detective.

The detective set up a massage with the business, which has been licensed since December 2013 for pressure point foot massages, the press release states.

The business only takes clients by appointment only and clients must ring a bell to get in, the press release states.

On the first appointment, the detective received a massage and nothing more was offered. However, about 40 minutes into a second massage, the masseuse stopped and asked if he wanted more, then attempted to touch his genitals and discussed a price, according to the press release.

The detective subsequently obtained a search warrant, which was served on Monday in conjunction with the arrests of the two women.
