Kazmir (1-0) allowed just three hits and no walks in 7 1-3 scoreless innings, striking out five.

Corey Kluber (0-1) failed to make it out of the fourth inning and lost for the first time in 13 starts since June 27. He gave up five runs and eight hits in 3 1-3 innings.

The game was delayed 4 minutes, 40 seconds during the top of the seventh after Eaton appeared to catch Oswaldo Arcia's flyball to center and then dropped it when he went to grab the ball from his glove.
