A legally blind, mentally challenged teenage girl who went missing Monday was found alive and well Wednesday morning in Salt Lake City.

UPD Detective Ken Hansen did not immediately provide details on where the 17-year-old Baylee Fausett been since she ran away from her Magna home earlier this week.

The girl reportedly approached a Utah Transit Authority bus driver about 7 a.m. Wednesday near 300 South and 250 West, and identified herself as having been reported missing. The driver then notified authorities and police arrived to retrieve the teen.

Fausett had last been seen Monday afternoon in downtown Salt Lake City, near the 200 South andRio Grande Street area.

A Missing/Endangered Person Alert was issued for the girl.
