Police are looking for a suspected armed robber who held up a southeast Salt Lake City Maverik store.

The suspect, described as a thin, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 bearded, white male in his 30s with long strawberry blond hair tied in a ponytail, walked into the business at 508 E. 300 South just before noon Thursday. He implied he had a weapon and demanded and received cash from a clerk before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police said the man was wearing a dirty green-brown jacket, soiled blue jeans, a blue shirt draped over his head. He also had a multi-colored backpack.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call SLCPD at 801-799-3000.
