Placed on Page 3 of the April 4th Tribune in standard type was an article about Alex Hribal, the boy who stabbed and slashed 21 people, five were critically injured, at a Marysville, Pa., school. If he had had a gun, the article would have been on the front page in bold type. There were no national or local political cartoons bashing knife owners and no outcry to require a background check and a 10-day waiting period to purchase a knife.

Knives cause more injuries than guns. There are more than ten emergency hospital visits required for knife injuries than gun incidences. But there are no anti knife groups protesting for restriction of knife ownership. I am aware that this letter is ludicrous and I feel sorry for all those that were injured, but knives do not stab people. People stab people.
