This week's Utah Crowd-Funding project brings a little music to your life.

Pablo Blaqk is a musician based in Salt Lake City, who grew up in Utah County with his Cuban parents. He started playing guitar at 18, and has played for such acts as The Moody Blues, John Legend and John Forte — and opened for Adele on her 2011 tour.

Blaqk is working on his latest album, titled "The Mountain Hymn," and is seeking $24,000 on Kickstarter to make it all happen: Publicity, radio promotion, music videos, album art, vinyl pressing, a website overhaul, and tour support.

"We want to make a trade. For every donation, we want to give something back," Blaqk writes on his Kickstarter page. "We aren't asking for a handout. We want to work with you to make the best album possible."

Only 1,000 copies of the first edition of "The Mountain Hymn" will be printed, with exclusive cover designs only for Kickstarter donors.

So far, the campaign has raised $2,229 of the $24,000 goal. The deadline is May 18.

Benefits for donors range from a download of one of Blaqk's older songs (for $5) to havign Blaqk record an entire album of cover songs just for you (for $6,500). For a mere $60, you can get an "executive producer" credit, and your name will be somehow incorporated in the cover art.
