The mystic soul of poet Rainer Maria Rilke seemingly foretold Utah's forecast when he penned these words: "Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems."
Whether in rhyme or prose, that sums up weather Thursday. Temperatures will hover around 70 degrees along the Wasatch Front under sunny skies, up a few degrees from Wednesday's forecast when partly cloud horizons were the rule.
Southern Utahns expected springtime perfection on Thursday, when temperatures were to sigh into the mid-80s under clear, sunny skies after Wednesday's forecast for the upper-70s under partly cloudy skies.
The Utah Division of Air Quality flew its "green," or healthy for breathing banners statewide through the midweek period.
Even allergy suffers were catching a break. The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website on Wednesday reported all pollen counts as "low" on its index.
