Animals will take over The Leonardo in May.

The science/technology museum announced today its next exhibit: "Animal Inside Out," a look at anatomy in the animal kingdom created by the folks behind "Body Worlds."

The exhibit, "Body Worlds' Animal Inside Out," features animals whose tissue has undergone the same "plastination" techniques pioneered by Dr. Gunther von Hagens on human specimens in the "Body Worlds" exhibits.

The exhibit shows animal skeletons, muscles, organs and circulatory systems, displaying the complex biology of ostriches, giraffes, bulls, camels and more.

"Animal Inside Out" will open at The Leonardo, 209 E. 500 South, Salt Lake City, on Saturday, May 10, and run through Monday, Sept. 1 — Labor Day.

After that, The Leonardo will be opening another "Body Worlds" exhibit, "The Cycle of Life." This exhibit will demonstrate the human body through an entire lifespan.

Tickets for "Animal Inside Out" range from $13 to $19, and The Leonardo will also sell combination packages for both "Animal Inside Out" and "The Cycle of Life" for $22 to $30. Go to the museum's website for ticket information.

By the way, The Leonardo's exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls is on display through April 27.
