Utah baseball coach Bill Kinneberg earned his 500th career victory as the Utes scored a season-high 12 runs and earned their first shutout of the year in beating Nevada 12-0 in a nonconference game at Smith's Ballpark.
Starting pitcher Mitch Watrous (3-4) earned the win for Utah (13-24), recording seven strikeouts while holding the Wolf Pack to two hits over seven innings.
Utah's Kody Davis drove in three runs, going 2-for-5 at the plate. Cody Scaggari and Max Schuman each had two hits and two RBIs.
Konnor Armijo hit his first home run of the year in the fifth inning, a two-run shot over the right-field fence.
Utah Valley 8, Northern Colorado 1 • In Orem, Greyson Bogden hit a three-run homer as UVU rallied for five runs in the first inning and won the opener of a doubleheader. The second game ended after The Tribune's deadline.

Utah State 12, New Mexico 11 • In Albuquerque, Sarah Chow went 4-for-4 and scored three runs, and Victoria Saucedo went 4-for-5 with four RBIs as the Aggies (18-27, 6-10 Mountain West) snapped a four-game losing streak.
New Mexico State 6-15, Utah Valley 3-6 • In Orem, Amanda Robinson hit home runs in each game for Utah Valley, but the Wolverines could not avoid the sweep. New Mexico State scored three runs in the top of the ninth to win the opener 6-3. The Aggies then dominated the second game, pounding out 14 hits in the 15-6 victory.
Sacramento State 11-4, Weber State 1-3 • In Ogden, the Wildcats (20-23, 2-9 Big Sky) got swept in the doubleheader and eliminated from contention for the conference tournament.
