Provo police have discontinued an Amber Alert for a 13-year-old boy, saying they believe he is in Mexico and "is not in any danger."

Police think the boy, Pablo Enrique Rivera, was taken to Mexico by his father. They say the boy's mother, Maria Hernandez, came home at 8 p.m. Friday and found a note from her son saying he was going to Mexico with his father.

The father, 42-year-old Juan Enrique Rivera, does not have legal custody of his son. Police say Juan Rivera kidnapped his daughter five years ago and has not returned her.
