The average Utah Joe has to bristle when reading the ongoing saga of former Attorney General Mark Shurtleff and jailed businessman Marc Sessions Jenson and our state bar. Is the Utah State Bar a little oligarchy in a state that itself often seems to be under the jurisdiction of an ill defined few?

The Bar appears slow to react to clear-cut evidence questioning the propriety displayed by two state attorneys general. Citizen panels picked by lottery would probably be a better alternative to the lax policing of their own that is reflected here. Or is this a situation of bedfellows scurrying to find a room? Someone has to have a kink in his or her neck from looking the other way. Utah, we love thee!
