Detectives have identified the body they pulled from the Jordan River as a missing 24-year-old.

Nathaniel Vamas was reported missing to the West Jordan Police Department on March 23. On Sunday morning, people walking their dogs found his body in the river near 10000 South.

On Monday, investigators announced that they had not found any signs of foul play and it appears Vamas' body had been in the water for several weeks, according to a news release.

The investigation remains active, pending results of the medical examiner's autopsy.
