Long-time Utah football player and coach Mike Morgan will be returning to the ranks of head coaches next fall when he takes over the helm at Granger.

Morgan was an outstanding high school player at Brighton and played his college ball at BYU before playing some professionally.

He coached at West Jordan for 14 years and Riverton for one. He has coached at Granger before going to West Jordan.

"I know the type of athlete that is here," he said. "I'm excited. There are phenomenal facilities here. West Valley City is a great place to be coaching."

Morgan replaces Cecil Thomas. Granger went 2-8 overall a year ago and were 1-4 in league play.
