No matter how anyone feels about the Cliven Bundy issue, armed insurrection is not the answer, nor should it ever be.

This is, after all, America, not the Middle East or Africa or Russia. We have the very good fortune of living in the greatest and most civilized country on the planet, with a judicial system second to none and a popularly elected Congress. If we have issue with a duly codified law, we seek change via the legal process, not with a Colt .44 in each hand.

The feds displayed great restraint in the face of what may have been a tragic encounter with a relic from the 1850s and his outlaw supporters. What I find most troublesome about this fiasco are the government officials who have publicly supported this miscreant and the credence they lend to his taxpayer cheating extremely self-serving cause.
