Utah Crowd-Funding: Moonshine music

This week's Utah Crowd-Funding project is all about making music as sweet as moonshine.

Salt Lake City folksinger Michelle Moonshine (real name: Michelle Gomez) has been playing around local clubs for awhile now — and sometimes ventures away from the Zion Curtain. (Last month she played a few gigs in Seattle.)

She's recording her first five-track EP, and she's seeking $5,000 via a Kickstarter campaign to pay for it.

So far, she's earned $385 in pledges — just over 7 percent of her goal — with 19 days to go before her May 25 deadline.

Benefits for backers range from a song download (for $5) to a private house concert (for $1,500).
