I was at Ikea at 10:30 a.m. on a Thursday waiting to pick up an order. The pick up area is adjacent to the return desk. While waiting I observed a man returning an item. On his hip was a holster containing a pistol of some sort.
It may have given him some comfort, but it had the opposite affect on me. I'm fine with law enforcement officers carrying weapons, but not some random individual in a retail store. I'm willing to take my chances at Ikea without some armed civilian there for some contingency.
