Efren Navarro, the all-time hits leader in Salt Lake Bees' history, has been called up by the parent Los Angeles Angels.

Navarro left the Bees on Friday morning and will start in left field for the Angels tonight against Toronto.

During his time with the Bees, Navarro has collected 518 hits, including 118 doubles. Last season, he led the Pacific Coast League in doubles and finished eighth in RBIs.

The call-up is the third of Navarro's professional career. He played briefly for the Angels at the end of the 2011 and 2013 seasons.

Navarro is the 12th player to move from Salt Lake to Los Angeles this season. He joins Cory Rasmus, C.J. Cron, Grant Green, Luis Jimenez, Brennan Boesch, Josh Wall, Michael Morin, Nick Maronde, Jose Alvarez, Yoslan Herrera and J.B. Shuck.
