Police have arrested a transient man who was responsible for his toddler daughter when she disappeared.

Jamie Webb, 39, was caring for 15-month-old Sophea Larsen when police began trying to execute a court order that she be returned to her mother. Officers found Webb on May 6, but he evaded police and had been missing since then. Larsen was not with Webb at the time, but she was dropped off at a relative's house the next day and was returned, uninjured, to her mother.

On Tuesday, the Unified Police Department received a tip that Webb was in West Valley City, UPD Lt. Justin Hoyal wrote in a press statement. Officers spotted him riding a motorcycle near 4000 South and 4000 West. He had pulled over to make a phone call, and officers arrested him, Hoyal wrote. Webb was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail.
