Politicians, businessmen, clergy, Latino activists and law enforcement officers are pushing Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform.
In 1986, amnesty was given to over 3 million illegal immigrants. But because immigration laws, especially in the workplace, have frequently not been enforced since then, we now have four times the number of illegal immigrants in the country today.
But, let's say Congress does pass immigration reform giving millions of illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship. With the lack of will to enforce the law, what is the plan for the next 12 million illegal immigrants?
