• Psychedelic folk-rock icon Rodriguez, profiled in the Oscar-winning documentary "Searching for Sugar Man," performs at The Depot, 400 W. South Temple, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7. Tickets are $50, at Smith's Tix.

• Electro-metal band Powerman 5000 performs at Lo-Fi Cafe, 445 S. 400 West, Salt Lake City. Show starts at 7:30. Tickets are $15, at Smith's Tix.

• Doom metal band Saint Vitus, celebrating its 35th anniversary with this tour, performs at In The Venue, 219 S. 600 West, Salt Lake City. Opening act: Suns of Huns. Show starts at 8. Tickets are $22, at Smith's Tix.
