A West Jordan man was hospitalized and teenage boy was in custody following an alcohol-fueled late Thursday night stabbing incident.

Public safety dispatchers confirmed that West Jordan police and paramedics responded to a home near 3800 West and Country Squire Drive (8520 South) at 10:47 p.m. Thursday.

West Jordan police Sgt. Dan Roberts said a 21-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy had been drinking together and then gotten into an argument that ended when the youth allegedly stabbed the man in the stomach.

The victim reportedly was in serious condition Friday at Intermountain Medical Center.

The youth was arrested and booked into a juvenile detention facility pending screening of charges.
