Letter: Dance is both art and sport

I am an 18-year-old student at Bingham High School, and I am a member of the Bingham Dance Company. Many people try to argue that dance is not considered a sport, but more of an art.
I believe that dance is both an art and a sport. Dancers compete just like any other team. We sweat. We work hard. We push through sweat and tears. What doesn't make dance a sport? Who says we don't work as hard as football players?
