New York • The 1984 draft, featuring Michael Jordan as the No. 3 pick, John Stockton picked at No. 16 by the Utah Jazz and two other Hall of Famers who were voted among the league's 50 greatest players, is the subject of the next NBA TV original film.

"THE84DRAFT" debuts June 9, an off day during the NBA Finals. Narrated by Lakers guard Steve Nash, the program looks at some of the players in a class that is regarded as one of the strongest in league history.

Hakeem Olajuwon was the No. 1 pick, the first player called by former Commissioner David Stern in his first draft. Portland passed on Jordan in favor of oft-injured Sam Bowie, and the Chicago Bulls benefited by grabbing the player who led them to six championships.

The documentary will focus on Jordan, Stockton, Olajuwon and Charles Barkley.
