A May 28 Public Forum letter concerning Utah's Republican legislature refusing to expand Medicaid to 110,000 working poor Utahns asks: "How many will die?" May 28)

According to Harvard Medical School research, 316 low income Utahns will likely die unnecessarily in 2014 because Utah GOP leaders have refused to expand Medicaid under ACA. One death is too many and shameful for public servants who claim to be high minded Christians in the best managed state in the nation.

In addition to being ethically indecent, it is a large fiscal blunder costing Utah's economy $580 million in Medicaid dollars in 2014. This amount was readily available to fully expand Medicaid in Utah.
