Eighteen Utah National Guard soldiers returned home Saturday from a 12-month deployment to Afghanistan.

Members of the 65th Field Artillery Brigade were greeted by their loved ones at Salt Lake City International Airport.

In Afghanistan, the Utahns helped to train and mentor Afghan National Army members in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

They arrived from overseas a week ago and have been undergoing demobilization at Fort Dix, N.J.
