People can now carry Utah's most iconic landmark in their pocket or drop it in a piggy bank.
The Arches National Park quarter, featuring Delicate Arch, was released Friday at the national park in Moab.
The launch marks the 23rd coin in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. Visitors to the park were allowed to buy $10 rolls of the quarters. Circulation of the quarters across the country is scheduled to start next week.
The Arches coin is part of a 12-year initiative to honor 56 national parks and other national sites.
Five new national site designs, depicted on the back of the coins, will be released each year in the order in which the honored sites were first established.
Arches is not the first National Park Service unit in Utah to be displayed on a quarter.
The Utah state quarter, released in 1997, had an image of the historic moment when the Golden Spike was driven linking a railroad from the East Coast to the West Coast. The location in northwestern Utah is now Golden Spike National Historic Site.
