Foodies, get ready: Alton Brown is coming to Salt Lake City.

Brown — the host of The Food Network's "Iron Chef America" and "Cutthroat Kitchen," a mentor/judge on "Food Network Star," and also an author — will be bringing his live show, "Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable," to the Capitol Theatre, 50 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City, on Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.

The show, Brown said in a press release, is a mix of "science, music, food, and a few other things no one in his right mind would allow me to do on TV, into a two-hour extravaganza that's fun for the whole family."

Those "other things" include, wait for it, musical numbers — most of them written by Brown.

Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday, at 10 a.m., via ArtTix.
