West Valley City's annual cultural celebration, featuring visual and performing arts from various ethnic communities, is being held Saturday from 6 p.m. to dark at the Utah Cultural Center, 1355 W. 3100 South.

The free-admission event, which typically draws between 800 and 1,200 people, used to be called the Fiesta. It now is called the MIX.

Participants will give art demonstrations and offer sales by local artists, offer traditional music and dance performances, sell ethnic foods, and provide hands-on chilldren's art activities and shoot off fireworks during the closing ceremony.
