A beautiful Sunday for northern Utah gives way to a warmer start to the work week.

High pressure will build over Utah Sunday, resulting in clear skies and seasonable temperatures, according to a report from the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City.

High temperatures in Salt Lake City will reach 79 degrees Sunday, before climbing to 91 degrees Tuesday. By then, the weather service expects there to be a slight chance of thunderstorms.

As for southern Utah, St. George can expect a high of 99 degrees on Sunday, followed by scorching temps in the low 100s through Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma Center's pollen count pegs grass at high levels, with mold and chenopods remaining moderate for the weekend.
