A trip to the prestigious Maui Invitational in November and home games against the Pac-12's Utah and Stanford in December highlight BYU's 2014-15 men's basketball nonconference schedule, which was released Tuesday.
The Cougars will also travel to Weber State and Utah State for instate battles, and play host to Hawaii on Dec. 6 at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City.
West Coast Conference play begins on Dec. 27, but the league schedule likely won't be released until August.
All told, BYU's nonconference schedule includes seven home games, three in Maui, one in Salt Lake City and two on the road (at USU on Dec. 2, and at Weber State on Dec. 13).
Forward Jamal Aytes will become eligible in mid-December and his first game will be against Stanford on Dec. 20.
The Cougars open the regular season in the Marriott Center against Long Beach State on Nov. 14.
They play host to Arkansas-Little Rock in Provo on Nov. 18, a game that is actually part of the Maui Invitational. Teams that will play in Hawaii include Arizona, Kansas State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Purdue, San Diego State and Chaminade.
The Cougars will host Southern Virginia on Nov. 19. SVU is an NCAA Division III program in Buena Vista, Va., that recently moved over from the NAIA ranks.
Eastern Kentucky will play at BYU on Nov. 29.
The Cougars will close out their non-conference schedule on Dec. 23 at home against UMass. The Minutemen downed the Cougars 105-96 last year in Massachusetts.
